A Peaceful Morning of Gratitude, Connection & Nature

Blue Iris Farm Rescue & Retreat is honored to welcome veterans and their families for a special complimentary two-hour experience created to thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Our rescued animals have taught us that healing often begins with kindness, patience, and simply having a safe place to belong. We hope our farm offers that same feeling to every veteran who visits.

This special event is made possible through the generosity of our Connections Program Sponsor, Allison Lloyd, Founder of Animal Lovers Foundation—a personal charitable foundation established to support and empower volunteer-run animal rescues and sanctuaries.

Because of Allison’s compassion and commitment to strengthening animal sanctuaries and the communities they serve, we are able to offer these appreciation days at no cost to our veterans and their families. We are deeply grateful for her partnership and belief in our mission.

Event Schedule (2 Hours) 10:00–10:15 AM | Welcome • Coffee, tea, and light refreshments • Meet the Blue Iris team • A heartfelt welcome and thank you for your service

10:15–11:00 AM | Guided Farm Experience • Meet our rescued horses, goats, pigs, sheep, Highland cow, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and other farm animals • Hear a few of their inspiring rescue stories • Learn about the mission of Blue Iris Farm Rescue & Retreat

11:00–11:40 AM | Goat Walks & Horse Time • Enjoy a peaceful guided goat walk • Brush our gentle draft horses • Spend unhurried time connecting with the animals and the beauty of the farm

11:40 AM–12:00 PM | Closing Gathering • Light refreshments • Time to visit, ask questions, and connect with fellow veterans
