ABOUT
OUR STORY:
A Sanctuary for Animals & People

Blue Iris Farm is a picturesque 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary nestled on 114 serene acres in the charming town of Lebanon, Connecticut. We are a refuge where both animals and people can slow down, breathe deeper, and reconnect with what matters. The moment you walk through our gates, your shoulders drop, the noise quiets, the pace slows—and something shifts.

Our Mission:
A Haven with a Purpose
Our mission is twofold:
-
To rescue farm animals from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment, giving them a safe, forever home.
-
To provide a peaceful retreat for people seeking respite from the chaos of daily life.
We offer non-clinical, animal-assisted experiences that help visitors of all ages find peace, purpose, and connection through meaningful interactions with animals and nature.

The Dream that Became a Reality

Founded by Jamie Collins in 2021 after a profound personal loss, Blue Iris Farm began its journey in 2019 with the dream of creating a home and sanctuary for rescued animals. That dream became a reality with the purchase of this beautiful farmland on January 15, 2021. Since then, it has blossomed into a thriving rescue farm and retreat center—an enduring place of healing, joy, and community.
