SAFETY GUIDELINES
Follow Animal Safety Protocols: All visitors are expected to follow animal safety protocols provided by our staff. This includes but is not limited to washing hands before and after interacting with animals, refraining from feeding animals without permission, and following any additional safety instructions provided by our staff.
Wear Appropriate Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are required for all visitors to our farm. Sandals, flip-flops, or any other type of open-toe footwear are not permitted.
Respect Designated Areas: All visitors are expected to respect designated areas and follow any posted signs or instructions provided by our staff. This includes but is not limited to staying within designated visitor areas and refraining from entering animal enclosures or other restricted areas.
Use Caution Around Animals: Visitors are expected to use caution when interacting with animals and to follow any instructions provided by our staff. Visitors should not approach animals without permission and should not attempt to pet or touch animals without first asking for permission and receiving instructions on safe handling.
Supervise Children: Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times while visiting our farm. Children should not be left unattended or allowed to wander off on their own.
Follow Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency, all visitors should follow instructions provided by our staff and evacuate the area immediately if instructed to do so. Visitors should be familiar with the location of emergency exits and first aid kits.
Report Injuries or Incidents: Visitors who are injured or witness an incident should report it immediately to a member of our staff. All incidents will be documented and investigated as necessary.
At Blue Iris Farm, we take the safety of our visitors, staff, and animals very seriously. We expect all visitors to follow these Safety Guidelines and to help us create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
